The Holy Trinity

 Connecting the dots.

Let's look at the traits associated with each person of the Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit share the same divine nature; yet, each has a unique role and is manifested in a different way. God the Father is sovereign over all creation. Although He is not visible in a physical form, His presence is revealed through His actions, His creation, and His Word. Jesus Christ, the Son, is God revealed in human form. He displays the character of God in a way that people can relate to and understand. During His earthly life, He experienced many of the same challenges and temptations that humans face, yet He overcame those challenges and temptations through his foundation in the Father. He is our example. The Holy Spirit serves as our comforter. While the Holy Spirit is not a physical being, Scripture sometimes uses visible symbols, such as a dove at Jesus' baptism, to represent His presence and work. He is also described as a cool breeze much like the breeze found in Genesis, but we won't talk about that just yet.
