Exercisng Faith: Day 2
Day 2 Example: Hannah's Life Unlike David, Hannah didn't face large giants. Her troubles were not loud, but the pain was just as deep. Hannah felt as if she had been cut off from the future. She was heavily exhausted and surrounded by emotional walls. She let grief consume her so much that she was blinded. She couldn't see the blessings she had been given. Even though she couldn't see her future or the blessings in front of her she continuously cried out to God. She vowed to give her blessing right back to him if he would just answer her. That vow was straight from her heart. (Her story is found in 1 Samuel 1&2) Reflection: We may not be barren and begging the Lord to give us children, but we are feeling empty and hopeless just like Hannah. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that we have hope and a future in God. No matter what we feel like we can rest in that truth. Actions: Do not let your grief consume you. Grief is defined as deep and intense sadness or mental suffering...
