The importance of Prayer

It is so important we pray. Prayer builds our relationship with the Lord. We can't connect to people if we never communicate with them and prayer is how we communicate with the Lord. We need to establish a relationship with him so that we are covered under his wing. We need to be protected by God we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the principalities and rulers of the darkness. If we establish a relationship with God then that true light shines within us and darkness cannot dwell where there is light. We live in a dark world and we need protection from both seen and unseen dangers. We may have just a little flicker of light inside us however that little light can grow everytime we talk with God. Everyday we ask him for more of him and less of us he will give himself to us. He wants to, he loves us. Psalms 91 is his promise of protection to us. I encourage you to memorize and quote it often whenever you feel the darkness of this world attackingm you. He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge.
